Attendance

This section will be everything you need to know regarding your child's attendance at school.

Welsh Government Guidelines state children should have a minimum of 95% attendance.

If your child is unwell, please contact the school office on 02920 360340 at the earliest convenience so we can authorise the illness.

If you can't phone – please message your child's teacher on Class Dojo.

As a cluster of schools in East Cardiff we have a Attendance Policy (see the Policies section)

Please see Mrs Chloe Ford or Mrs O'Donovan at the front office if you require any further information on taking your child on holiday during term time. Parents do not have an automatic right to take their children out of school during term time and permission must be sought, prior to a holiday, from the Head Teacher with a Request of Absence form being completed. If your child has low attendance, there is a possibility of a Fixed Penalty Notice holiday fine.

If your child is going to be late to school for any reason, please sign them in at the front office so that they can receive their attendance mark. If they are late due to a medical appointment, please bring evidence of the appointment. This will then be photocopied and filed to correspond with their attendance record. This evidence can also be sent to the class teacher through Class Dojo.

ALL ABSENCES ARE UNAUTHORISED WITHOUT EVIDENCE.
