Family Engagement and Parental Learning
We are pleased to announce the "Book Fair" is back at Meadowlane.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be available for parents to come to view and buy books from Monday 9th November till Wednesday 11th November from 2pm-4pm.
This would be a great opportunity to maybe start the Christmas shopping or just a quick treat. Please note payment is card only.
The children will have the opportunity to come and view books in advance with their class teachers.
We look forward to welcoming you to the fair.
New learning opportunities for academic year 2026-2027
I am pleased to share with you the Adult Learning opportunity – Understanding Autism Level 1 accredited course.
This course is ideal for parents/carers, support workers, volunteers and members of your family to develop an understanding of autism and effective support strategies.
It commences on Monday 14th September at Meadowlane Primary School(parent room) from 1 pm-3 pm and is completely free of charge.
Please note children are not able to attend and there are no facilities for a créche etc.
This is the second of our courses on offer in September – Families learning together in partnership with Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) are offering this 10-week learning opportunity commencing on the 9th September.
This course offers you and your child the opportunity to explore emotions together in a safe and welcoming environment. For more information, see the QR code below:

Adult Learning courses - We have fun learning new skills to help us and our children
- ESOL (English for speakers of another language) - Fun with numbers. Will start on Thursday 21st September from 1pm-3pm.
The above course is run in association with Cardiff Council Adult Learning and Agored Cymru. This course will entitle you to earn time credits.
