The Healthy Schools Team

Dosbarth Usk are the Healthy School Team. We meet every half term as part of I Rights at Meadowlane. Have a look at our Action Plan so far this year. We use use Pupil Voice each term to decide what our actions will be and how we will deliver them.

During October the Healthy School Team organised #HelloYellow at Meadowlane for young people's mental health on World Mental Health Day. We joined thousands of people across the country to wear yellow to show young people that they are not alone. Each class took part in  different activities and promoted them on their Class Dojo Page.

In November I-Voice in Dosbarth Usk were discussing healthy lunchboxes. We took photos of healthy lunchboxes in school. Lots of lovely super healthy ideas were to be found in the dinner hall!
I- voice representatives made some Pic-collage posters to encourage parents and carers to give their children healthy lunchboxes.. some great ideas from the pictures!

The Healthy School Team organised the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel at Meadowlane. We did our best at Meadowlane to walk, wheel or scoot to school for two weeks. We came 6th in Wales for our active journeys!!
