Meadowlane Primary School is on the east side of Cardiff, meeting the needs of children of all abilities aged 3-11.

It is a privilege to be Head of Meadowlane, where as a staff we work to get the best from every child, irrelevant of their ability or background. Everyone who visits our school comments on the warm welcome and the friendly atmosphere that they find.

Our school motto is ‘Make Yourself Proud’, and it is at the heart of everything we do.

At Meadowlane we believe in preparing the children for their future lives. When they move on from us we want them to be successful and to feel proud of their achievements.

We teach the children:

• To respect themselves, others and the environment
• To always try their best in all that they do
• To be polite and have good manners
• To use Welsh
• To smile and make themselves proud!

At Meadowlane we believe children need to be inspired in order to make good progress. We plan many exciting learning experiences for the children, to engage and inspire them in their work.

We are proud to be a Rights Respecting School, where we have achieved the Gold award for our work. We provide a nurturing environment for our children and are currently working towards the National Nurturing Schools award. 

What I enjoy most about Meadowlane though are the children. They are an absolute delight, and with their smiles that greet me each day, they put a smile on my face too!
